Just came here for music and drinks but the waitress was so so nice, we added a couple of apps to pad the tab. And glad we did! The pork belly was amazing and the shrimp chips with poke was awesome, too! The drinks were delicious and well made, not too weak or too strong. Just a nice, chill vibe…

We booked this hotel last minute on Expedia and couldn’t understand why there were two different prices for ocean view rooms. As we soon found out, only 3rd floor ocean view rooms do not have a balcony whereas higher floors do. Specifically, our room is #348 and is not that desirable due to its proximity above the main kitchen. Odour from kitchen is sucked back into our room through the room’s AC unit. Once I entered the room, I could smell deep fried oil odour. The room also has a few roaches. Other than our specific room, this hotel has certain nostalgia since it has built in 1975 by a Japanese-American architect. It reminded of my first trip to Hawaii when I was in grade school. Every hotel guest received a welcome drink at the bar, a water bottle, and a $10 coupon for dining. Overall, I would rate this hotel 3.5 out of 5.

Just accept that it is dated and could definitely use some repairs or even remodel. However, it is clean and absolutely in a beautiful location… Right under the banyan trees on the water. The staff is friendly and helpful. As a Wyndham diamond member, I felt very appreciated and welcome. Highly recommend this property. Four stars just because it is dated. But we stayed at the Hilton next door last year and we would come back here. The Hilton is overpriced and then they charge you for bunch of extra stuff that Wyndham diamond members don't get charged for like Resort fees and parking.
