We've been going to Horseshoe for an annual ski trip with our neighbours for 4 years now, and we've never been disappointed. The hills are always well-maintained, with a variety of runs for every skill level. Our son spends the majority of his time on the terrain park, which also has an assortment of rails, jumps, boxes, etc. for varying skill levels. There is seldom an extended wait for the lifts. Staff is great at filling the seats during busier periods. There is ample space for ski/snowboard storage. The indoor area quickly fills up, but is also large enough to accommodate large groups of patrons. Lifts have always been functional. Staff are polite and friendly. We will continue skiing at Horseshoe for years to come.

Had a fantastic time with my kids snowboarding today!
1. Sam in the tech shop was amazing. Fast, kind and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to make our time meaningful.
2. The instructors are helpful and eager to see people succeed
3. The staff prioritize safety and there is always one in sight to answer quotations for a beginner.
We had a great time and would highly reccomend!

Location is lovely. Horseshoe is worth the visit for sure. And night skiing and snowshoeing is great. Picturesque for sure.
However check in was painfully slow with only ONE person at the desk. And since check in is at 4pm one is effectively paying for a 19 hr stay. Minus the time waiting to be checked in. If you plan to use the pool, it is lit like a dentists office and filled with children. Make sure to bring an 8 year old with you otherwise it has all the charm of a school public pool. Games room is falling apart with foosball table barely holding on. It’s quite a busy place and good for families but not so much for couples as it lacks the charm and privacy. The rooms are nice enough but the walls are paper thin. Not only can you hear the room adjacent to yours. You can hear the room adjacent to the adjacent room. The hallway is so loud you may as well leave your door open so you can carry on a full conversation more easily. For the price, I believe they could supply at least 3 hangers in the closet. Alas 2 was all we had. Not being ‘high brow’ we were ok lying our stuff on the floor and over suitcases. The staff is quite friendly and both the restaurants that are nearby and very convenient were lively and decent with the main pub/restaurant offering live music and a jovial atmosphere. The activities are great and for some may save the setbacks of the inn.
Overall, great for families. Like great wolf lodge without the waterslides and mini golf And noisier because of the lack of sound insulation and such.
Should you go? Yes. But bring a child.
