We stayed at Bato Spring last February 3–4 for an overnight stay, and overall, it’s a beautiful place that we would definitely visit again.
We initially booked a fan room since the area is naturally cool and the room was well-ventilated—air conditioning wasn’t really necessary. The room we got was newly renovated, and we appreciated the bathroom setup. The toilet bowl was well designed, so there was no need for a handheld bidet.
However, there was a downside to our first room. It was located behind a cottage, and one group was very noisy. On top of that, there was ongoing construction for Cottages 3 and 4 during our stay. Since we had just arrived from a long drive from Manila, it became difficult to rest.
We raised our concern with the staff, and to be fair, they were approachable and willing to help. At first, they offered to move us to an older room, but we declined because we had already seen the difference between the old and newly renovated rooms. They then suggested transferring us to an air-conditioned room with an additional charge, which we also politely declined since the inconvenience wasn’t on our side.
Eventually, they agreed to transfer us to an air-conditioned room at no extra cost. We were hesitant at first because the place was already cool, but this was the best option they could offer, and we appreciated their effort and consideration.
Setting that issue aside, the resort itself is very beautiful and well-maintained. We even checked the women’s common restroom, and it was clean and well kept. You can really see their effort in preparing the place for the upcoming summer season.
✔️ Free breakfast the following morning (included with the room)
✔️ Hot water, coffee, and tea available
✔️ ₱1,000 key deposit, refundable upon checkout
✔️ Serene atmosphere and friendly staff
There was just a small issue during breakfast with one staff member who insisted that there was no 9:00 AM checkout, even though it was clearly written on our checkout paper 😅 but it was manageable.
✨ Overall: We would still definitely come back. The place is peaceful, well maintained, and the staff are generally friendly—just make sure to request a room away from cottages or construction areas if you want uninterrupted rest.
