It is such an experience to stay in a well maintained Heritage Home. Casa Gamboa is a beautiful home, and it is wonderful to imagine how folks from a completely different time, and lifestyle used to live.

The room I stayed at was the Nanay Daling Room. It is perfect size for solo traveller, with a very huge restroom, beautiful capiz bathroom mirror, and detailed furnitures.

As a guest, I was also allowed to take a look at the other rooms and areas. The amount of interesting books is also helpful to know more about Silay and Filipino history of food.

The house caretakers Melendi & Nemia are friendly. Love the yummy breakfast chorizo eaten near the garden pool.

I would not have spend my first trip to Negros Occidental in another place than Casa A. Gamboa. This is the best place if you are looking for a calm and unique housing, filled with art and history, with very kind people and good food.

Casa A Gamboa is a fantastic venue to get a feel of what Negros culture really has to offer. The house is 20 years shy of a century old and is full to the brim with character and charm. So much love and detail is put into the food and ambience. The place is open air and is great for parties and seminars.
