It tells the story of Cebu’s history with remarkable depth, and is wonderfully educational.

The museum operates a timed entry system, so one may have to wait a short while before entering.
This does, however, keep the crowds at bay, making for a most pleasant experience.

I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone travelling to Cebu.

Once the home of Juan Gorordo, the first Filipino bishop of Cebu, the museum is much more than a well-maintained heritage house—it's a living testament to Cebuano identity and resilience. Each room is thoughtfully curated, with authentic period furnishings, antique religious artifacts, and educational exhibits that breathe life into the past. The guided tour (highly recommended) is rich with insights and stories, turning what could be just a walk-through into a meaningful journey.

Great spot to visit for history lovers. This is a bougie museum compared to Yap-San Diego Ancestral House coz it’s air conditioned with a cafe adjacent to the house. Great hispañola vibe!
