I visited Chiba Port Tower by taking the Chiba Urban Monorail and getting off at Chiba-Minato Station. From there, it was about a 10-minute walk to the tower. The area is quiet and scenic, and not too crowded.
This is definitely one of the best towers I’ve visited in Japan. On clear days, you can enjoy the amazing views of Mt. Fuji and Tokyo Skytree from the 4th-floor observation deck. The entrance ticket costs 420 yen for adults.
Please note that the new 5000 yen note doesn’t work in the self-ticket machine, but you can buy tickets at the counter. On the 3rd floor, there’s a nice cafe. The 1st floor has a souvenir shop (with a supermarket corner too) and a play area for kids.
I especially recommend the soft, creamy ice cream sold at the shop..it was really delicious!
There’s also a park nearby with access to the beach, which makes it a perfect spot for families and couples.
Highly recommended for a relaxing and scenic half day trip.

My first impression of Chiba Port Tower was that it seemed solitary and not particularly tall, but once I bought my ticket and reached the observation deck, I was amazed by the views. Unlike what I initially thought, it's not a conventional building but rather a tower with just four floors. The ground floor serves as the check-in area, the second floor houses the Lover's Sanctuary, the third floor features the Seagull Kitchen, and the fourth floor is the observation deck where you can take in panoramic views.
It's fascinating that on clear days, you can even spot Mount Fuji from here, though it wasn't visible during my visit due to weather conditions. The Seagull Kitchen was closed during my daytime visit, as it only operates in the evening. I would have loved to dine at that height while enjoying views of the sea, park, and cityscape. The tower offers excellent views of major Tokyo landmarks, and it stands as a milestone marking Chiba's development. If you're in the Chiba area, I highly recommend visiting. With parks and museums nearby, you can easily spend half a day exploring this area.

Absolutely loved Bun Bun Japanese Crepe! The crepes were perfectly soft, light, and loaded with delicious fillings. Whether sweet or savory, every bite was full of flavor and made fresh with care. The presentation was super cute, and the staff was friendly too. A must-try if you’re craving something fun and satisfying in Japan!
