Coming from Durian Garden, our Polomolok joyride led us straight into a scene that felt like it belonged on a postcard. As we cruised along the highway, the world suddenly turned into a sea of green—thousands of pineapples by Dole stretching as far as the eye can see. It is a staggering sight, but the real "crown jewel" of the view is the imposing silhouette of Mt. Matutum standing guard over the fields.

​We couldn't help but pull over to soak it all in. This isn't exactly a curated "tourist spot" with a ticket booth, but it’s perhaps the most breathtaking stopover in the region. It’s a beautiful, unscripted surprise that wasn't even on our itinerary.

​The only downside? Nature played a bit of a joke on us. A massive, stubborn bank of clouds decided to wrap itself around the volcano’s peak right when we arrived. I actually had to lean on a bit of AI magic post-trip just to clear those clouds and see the mountain in its full glory!

​If you’re driving through Polomolok, you have to stop here. Even with the clouds, the scale of the plantation against the backdrop of Matutum is a powerful reminder of how grand Soccsksargen truly is.
