Came to East End Brewing for some late night beer and snacks. Everything was good and the place was pretty cool. They have a large outside seating area and plenty of space inside for when it’s cold.

Pizza and beer are definitely worth the trek! I don’t usually like thick / square pizza – but theirs definitely is an exception. The West Coast IPA is fantastic.

I have been to East End a number of times over the years, and really thought I had reviewed them before, but obviously not. This is a well ran bar and pizza restaurant that always has an inviting feel to it that makes you feel comfortable spending time having a drink or some food and chatting.
On this last visit on a random Saturday afternoon, I fiest tried their Anniversary Dopplebock, which was a strong and intense, but altogether enjoyable beer. I then tried the Central Business District, one of the last entries in their 5 year project for nearly 100 different beers named for and dedicated to different Pittsburgh neighborhoods, which is a really cool endeavor. The beer itself had a unique herbal quality to it, and was a fun and different pilsner. My wife tried their hard lemonade, which unsurprisingly blows something like "Mike's" out of the water, and she really enjoyed it.
Add in an always pleasant staff and nice outdoor area that can be enjoyed by kids and furry friends, and you have a great local establishment that is worth a stop if in the area and craving a good beer and/or some hearty pizza.
