This is a hotel that I could not recommend more!
1. The Rooms + Club Floor
The rooms were spectacular. While the beds were a little on the hard side the room was otherwise perfect – very spacious and with an amazing bathroom. The club floor was also very good – wide selection of food, snacks, and drinks.
2. The Service
The service is why I decided to leave this review as it is one of the best experiences I’ve had in a hotel. Unfortunately there were a few instances that a companion of mine experienced – namely needing a doctor and leaving an item in another hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. She was able to go to a nearby doctor by recommendation and get the assistance she needed, and the item from another hotel arrived in 12 hours. Furthermore, I was also privileged enough to spend my birthday in this hotel and I received a delicious cake in my room and a selection of fresh fruits at the club breakfast.
3. The Location
This hotel is in an ideal spot if you are staying in this area. It is connected to the biggest mall in the city which has some great shops and food. Also, the basement area of the hotel has some spectacular and affordable food options that I would recommend! You are also on the canal area of Fukuoka and reasonably close to the station

This was our third time staying at the Grand Hyatt Fukuoka, and we continue to enjoy this property. Even though the hotel is older, it is incredibly well-kept and the cleanliness is top-tier.

The Location: You cannot beat this location. Being right next to Canal City is so convenient for shopping (there is a huge Onitsuka Tiger store right there) and dining. We loved being close to the fountain light show, the famous Ichiran Ramen, and the local Yatai food stalls. It is also an easy walk to both Hakata Station and Tenjin.

The Service: The standout for us is always the service at the Grand Club. The food served there is good, but the staff makes the difference. I want to give a special shout-out to the Club Concierge. She went above and beyond to help me make a phone call to the Onitsuka Tiger store this trip. On our last trip, they also helped secure an appointment at Van Cleef. They are consistently helpful and professional.

Room for Improvement: The only minor inconsistency is the arrival experience. Out of our three stays, we have only been checked in at the Club Lounge with a welcome drink once. During this trip (and the last one), we were directed to the regular check-in counter with no welcome drink. For a hotel of this caliber, consistent recognition for Club guests upon arrival would make the experience perfect.

Overall, we love this hotel and will be back!

Great location for a hotel with many restaurants, convenience stores, shopping areas, and other amenities nearby. Service was very prompt with the room itself was very clean and spacious. The beds in particular were very comfortable after a long day of walking around and the bathtub was also large and deep enough for an entire person to soak. You get what you pay for and any visit to Fukuoka Japan will be great with your stay here.
