I am writing this review a bit late as our visit was in mid-January, but the experience was so profound that I had to share.
I have been undergoing medical treatments recently, and the side effects of my medication often leave me with severe headaches and exhaustion. Honestly, I wasn't sure if I would be able to relax or truly enjoy our 10th-anniversary dinner.
However, a wonderful female staff member made our night truly magical. She took such careful care of us throughout the entire process—from the phone reservation to greeting us at reception and looking after us until the very end. She even took the initiative to invite the Chef to our room to congratulate us, which was such a moving gesture.
We were lucky enough to enjoy a private dining room, which made our celebration feel incredibly special and secluded. The French cuisine was expertly prepared and beautifully presented. Even my two daughters were so happy and enjoyed the meal immensely; it is rare for them to sit through such a long dinner so patiently, which speaks volumes about the wonderful atmosphere.
We drove 1.5 hours through heavy snow from South Bend, Indiana, and the exceptional service from the entire staff made every mile of that difficult drive worth it. Their kindness allowed me to temporarily forget my physical discomfort and fully celebrate this milestone with my family. Thank you to the whole team for an unforgettable evening.

What an amazing experience! I had the incredible pleasure of being here two nights in a row. The food was amazing and the service was second to none. The wonderful staff did not miss a single detail. Everything here is extremely clean and well cared for. I cannot recommend Henderson Castle enough. Especially if you’re into ghosts and the paranormal!! So much fun stuff to see. Don’t miss the rooftop hot tub and amazing views of Kalamazoo!!

Stayed 1 night in the French Room. Very nice. Beautiful house. Very well decorated to time period. Service was top-notch, and period dress was a very nice touch. Bar was quick with an excellent selection. Ate dinner with tableside Drunken Lobster and roasted bone marrow paired with a nice Red. Excellent and worth the price. Would recommend a night or 2 as long as you stay for dinner. Only the non-5-star is the ill-fitting unfortunate Kalamazoo setting, but that cannot be changed. Run over to the Gilmore Car Museum if you want a complimentary outing.
