We had a family stay there Feb 2026. The first thing I'd like say is the staff are amazing! We had a minor inconvenience happen and Charmaine (I hope I'm spelling it right) at the front desk was really helpful. She addressed our concerns very promptly and went above and beyond to resolve them and she followed up with us to make sure we were happy with our stay. In our many years of staying at hotels, she's probably the best manager and team member of any hotel we've ever dealt with. Guest services is really how you can truly make a difference in someone's visit.
In terms of the rooms themselves, we felt they were very modern and updated. The breakfast that is included we felt had good selection and the quality was also good. We enjoyed the coffee that was included throughout the day. Our family enjoyed using the pool and water slide as it was pretty spacious. Location-wise it was great as having the Wal-Mart close by as it was great to pickup snacks and water and I liked that the hotel was right off of Highway 1 and very close to the main mall and other restaurants and amenities.
All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and just wanted to say that all of the staff were very welcoming and we definitely will be staying here again.

The reception desk personnel were very very pleasant thus making for a great start to our stay. The reception area was large enough to accommodate numerous check ins had it been necessary. I have to say that the ABSOLUTE BEST part was the morning breakfast. Kathy had a huge tasty assortment including GLUTEN FREE options which was fabulous. She was very personable and everything was spic and span clean. We had been on a 19 day trip to Victoria and back to Manitoba with stays in a variety of hotels and this was BY FAR THE ULTIMATE BEST. Thank you Medicine Hat Holiday Inn.

I can’t say enough about the staff in this facility. I travel a lot for work and have many points of comparison. Staff throughout were helpful and pleasant and went over and above to help me when I needed assistance with printing documents are required for work. The hot tub and pool facilities were spotless. The breakfast self-service was top-notch. They honoured our IHG points card and we’re able to provide a late checkout and a free room upgrade. This has been a most pleasant day during a work week in Medicine Hat.
