I went over to watch the Station Duo presentation. The music was traditional and folk based; with a focus on the songs of freedom sung by the people of the black communities in the early 18-1900's.
Michelle Guy has a beautiful voice, smooth and very bluesy. I enjoyed listening to all of the songs and loved the harmonizing guitar music of her partner, Bill.
The preservation was given in the large and acoustically brilliant Carnegie Room.
It was a beautifully presented compilation of folk and jazz music that I thoroughly enjoyed that afternoon. I would love to hear Station Duo play again. They were amazing!

MacLaren Art Center has art and art installations with a unique and creative theme, friendly and helpful staff, seating areas that includes a variety of snacks, baked goods and drinks to choose from for reasonable prices. They are inclusive to everyone and made me me feel welcome and comfortable while I visited there. Thank you so.much, I had a lovely time!

Such an amazing place. The quality of the exhibits is usually amazing. I enjoy that the curator has a modern, somewhat-conceptual lean. It's a great place for a coffee after you check out the gallery, or just as a break from the downtown area.
