Never leave marikina without going to one if the most iconic places here. The Marikina Show Museum.
Home of the shoes of Imelda Romualdez Marcos and other prominent personalities and famous people.

It was the largest shoe collection I have ever seen. From large to small. You can take photos and videos in certain areas but not Imelda Marcos' collection. The staff were very nice and informative when we asked them some questions. It's worth the visit.

Place worth visiting while in Marikina. Museum provides information on the history of the city and its connection with the shoe industry. It also presents shoes from different times and places. It displays shoes that had been worn by former city mayors, country’s presidents and senators (including one pair that belonged to former senator, soon to be president, Bongbong Marcos). But of course the biggest attraction on display are 255 pairs of shoes owned by Imelda Marcos. The museum is located in 200 year old building that in the past had served as rice mill and a prison before being transformed into a museum in 2001. It is open every day from 9 till 17.00 hrs. The entrance fee is 50PHP.
