As river valley ski hills go, this one is fantastic!
It is volunteer run, by many dedicated individuals. Thompson gets a good accumulation of snowfall per annum. Boasting four surface lifts, there is terrain for everyone.

It is always fun to visit this park every winter season. From Thompson, MB, it is only about 35-45 minutes drive depending on road conditions.
It is a well maintained, family-friendly place where young and old can hang out and enjoy snow boarding, skiing, and sledding.
They are able to rent out if you don't have the gears, or just wanting to try them out. There is also an available coach.
There is a very warm lounge as well that everyone can rest and keep warm.
It may be not as fancy nor challenging as ski hills in BC, but it sure is a good place to start training and have a great time!
