I've been here twice now as a guest of a annual pass holding zoo member. Delightful each time. Animals appear to be in great shape and have gorgeous habitats. They even accommodated for my service animal with no issues providing a special map to help guide through the zoo.
I really enjoy coming here. And with the Rose garden and many other things connected around the zoo it's a lovely place to hang out for the day.

We have been to a lot of zoos and this one felt like you could get super close to all the animals. The walk was very well laid out and easy to follow even without carrying a map. The animals were well cared for, and the terrain was just beautiful. If I had an negative about the park, it might be that at times it was hard to find the trashcan, but what I really really liked was you could always find a bench and somewhere to sit to enjoy the wildlife and to rest. I do think this zoo is very well worth a trip. In about 2 1/2 hours, you can see everything and experience just some wonderful terrain to walk-through. It wasn’t too difficult or hard to climb and I always felt like I could do it in a wheelchair if I had to. One of the most interesting things I saw in this zoo was a children’s sandbox play area that looked like just the kind of things. My children would have loved when they were 2-6 years old. Parking was very interesting and you had to download a specific app, but there were kiosk where you could get a parking place without having to use the app so I was very thankful for that.

Absolutely love this zoo! You’ll find a fantastic range of animals, including adorable new babies like an elephant, turtle, and ape, all thriving in spacious habitats. Visit now for minimal weekend crowds and affordable admission—perfect for a day of exploration! Bring your own snacks to save on food and skip the lines.
On the downside, there’s a parking fee, and it can get super crowded in late spring and summer, making it tricky to see the animals, especially with kids. Plus, tickets are only available online now—no more at the gate! Pro tip: If you’re military, part of a group, a nonprofit, or an eligible family, you could snag discounted tickets up to 50%, so check eligibility before buying tickets!
