After a few tours, my daughter chose Salisbury University and has been attending since fall of 2024. I've been pleased with her stories about the culture and classes, plus I appreciate the resources for parents to ensure she's keeping up. Though she started out wanting to pursue a pre-med track, she took a chemistry class with Dr. Heimann and found a love in science. I appreciate the mentorship that has been given to my daughter. Looking forward to her graduation and her life after college!

I love the small campus life, because everywhere is like a walking distance, when you live on campus their is stores nearby like CVS and Dollar General to by needs and you get to walk their, no need to get behind the wheel, and also I was glad their is a church nearby to I get go on Sundays.

We toured Salisbury University with our daughter. Our tour guides were lively and energetic and were sincere in their appraisal of the university. The library is gorgeous and a testament to the school's small, but well though-out, campus. Between the Purdue and the Guerrieri families, this is the university that chicken built. Don't understand the reference, look it up! My daughter is looking at business and economics, so we were happy we got to see the Business building, which was quite impressive. Salisbury is part of the University of Maryland System, but is a Division III school, so unfortunately, there's not a lot of energy around their sports programs the way you would find at a larger school. I did watch their football team practice a little, and they looked decent. Housing looks like it may be at a minimum on campus, though I believe they are building more student dwellings. The biggest negative was South Salisbury Avenue. With its nail salons, vape and cannabis shops, food shops, etc., it looked like suburb that was being run-down by cheap businesses – similar to Baltimore Avenue at UMCP. Salisbury itself is also a bit of a dodgy town, but a lot of campuses are in similar situations. Always best to stay with a group of people when galivanting about!
