Place is so old school. Loved taking my son. Great time. So much better than the new modern places. Great to teach him candlepin.

Really fun! We went in at around 4pm on Sunday and were the only people there for the first half hour. $10 per person, per hour including shoes. Much harder than normal bowling, but still cool. You score it yourself on paper sheets they give you, which adds to the old-timey feel

Hands down one of my favorite spots in Boston. Absolute hidden gem. This place rules. I live across town so this isn't a "it's in my neighborhood" thing.

Do you want to actually bowl and not stand around watching animations on screens while a timer tells you when to get off the lane? Are you tired of shoving your fingers into mystery-moist bowling balls that feel like they’ve been marinating since 08? Do you enjoy cold beer and fast service? Did you grow up in the ’90s? Did your step-dad Greg bring you to league night? If so, congratulations this place was made for you.

    Questions you may ask:
Are there any standard ten-pin lanes? No it's candlepin and the only real type of bowling.
Huge arcade for the kids? Also no. Bring their ipads if you're concerned.
Automated scoring because math is hard? Absolutely not. Be an adult and add 9+7. You’re hand-scoring candlepin like a functioning adult. Don’t panic as it’s easy, they give you instructions and I swear even after several beers it is not that hard.

This is bowling down to the essentials: lanes, pins, beer, vibes. No frills. No nonsense. Just candlepin bowling.

Stop reading this review and go. Right now.

Why are you still reading this and not there?
