A truly amazing museum full of interesting artefacts, vehicles and street scenes of days gone by. You could spend hours in this place and its free to enter. There is something for everyone and how many people do you hear say: “I remember that” or “I rode on one of those”! There really is too much too much to describe and really recommend a visit. The only criticism is the gift shop is very basic.

We had a wonderful few days walking around Beamish Museum. No matter how many times we come, we always learn something new. Our favourite time period is Pockerley. We love coming at Christmas but have been other times in the year. It is nice to see the Museum with the change of the seasons. I would recommend anyone visit.

Excellent museum, multiple exhibits and very well organised + free. You get the atmosphere of 19-20th century UK. Highly recommended.
