    🏀 The Courtyard BGC Review

Venue Highlights: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Courtyard, nestled in the heart of Bonifacio Global City, is a hoop lover’s paradise. With FIBA-standard full courts and a half-court for practice shooting, it’s a safe space for ballers of all ages.

    Features:
Full-Size Courts: Crafted from recycled shoes using “Nike Grind,” these regulation-sized courts provide an authentic playing experience.

Training Zone: The half-court on the side is perfect for honing skills. Practice those free throws!

Inclusivity: Nike dedicates Tuesday and Thursday nights exclusively to female ballers, fostering community and growth.

Overall Impression: The Courtyard isn’t just a court; it’s a celebration of Filipino basketball passion.

Lace up, play hard, and feel the pride! 🇵🇭🏀

First, I have to mention that when I went there to watch, I made the mistake of entering through the back gate, I did so without presenting a Nike Pass, and I had two dogs with me. The five star rating is for the staff who handled the situation with absolute courtesy and slick salesmanship. There were three of them, but the lady wearing a ponytail was the one who communicated their policies. With a few friendly words, she managed to deny our entry on that day yet, at the same time, invite me to download the app and come back again when I do not have dogs in tow. 🐕🐶🏀 Even the manner of showing me out made me feel like I was being ushered rather than shooed away. Either The Courtyard has good staff training or they have a good hiring process to have staff like them.

    Basketball for all.

Having moved to BGC recently, I only got the chance to play here a few weeks back. It’s free basketball court access for Nike members as long as you show them the Nike app.

This isn’t the first time Nike has done a free access basketball court. What’s special about this one though is how the court features Nike Grind which is recycled rubber. This makes it feel as if you’re playing on a track and field turf. Pretty good on the joints for the older players out there. Just be cautious of flying bits every now and then which comes from the material breaking down.

The sun shines directly on the courts so be prepared for tons of sun exposure. It can get pretty hot and there’s a real possibility of heat stroke.

I can only wish that they install a make-shift roof so that players are protected from the elements.

Other than that, good job, Nike!
