Not had the pleasure for a while but no need to worry.
Usual great beer albeit slightly smaller choice.
Awesome bar staff;Lucy even remembered my dog's name after more than a year and miraculously produced a sausage to welcome him back!
As for the locals I'd challenge even a Tory MP to leave without making new friends!
Best pub in Tameside by far.

Only get the chance to visit this awesome pub when I'm taking my dog Deano to the Vets!
The outstanding range of real ales is only surpassed by the welcome of landlord Mike and the friendliness of the locals!
If this pub was in Oldham I'd drink myself to death in a month but die very, very happy! 😆

Back to the vets with Deano the dog and a £125 bill!
On the plus side landlord Mike cheered me up with his concern for Deano(who slobbered all over him!) and his usual awesome range of real ales; I've never drunk the same beer twice in the several years I've been visiting.
About a dozen friendly locals enjoying a few pints after work.
As it's a School Night and got to drive tomorrow my flatmate dragged me out kicking and screaming after two pints!..GUTTED!😢
