I thought it would be fitting to review The Garden Room on this month of May, the exact month I was married 22 years ago – at this beautiful venue. It seemed like yesterday and it was so perfect! From the time I stepped inside The Garden Room to take a tour, to booking the place, then coordinating with all the vendors, and finally – the big day! The staff was so helpful in every way.
My color theme was lavender and white and I remembered I wanted my flower to be very specific. I thought it would be difficult to coordinate having just one, single stem Calla Lily only, instead of a whole bouquet of flowers – but they accommodated my wishes to a T. I chose their own group of affiliated photographer and DJ services, so everything was streamlined and there was such ease of communication throughout the process.
The magical looking staircase was the dreamy part! I had always wanted to walk down a long, winding staircase to greet the guests. There is also another secret staircase in the back that leads down to the banquet room, this is where the bride and groom descend into the wedding reception area. The bride and bridal party’s dressing room is so spacious and beautiful.
There is a full service bar, beautiful chandeliers adorn the ceilings, there are stained glass features in the chapel, and a nice sized dancing floor. On the outside premises, luscious greens and a pretty and quaint gazebo leads out onto a curved pathway overlooking a pond below. It was an amazing day! Great memories!
On a side note, I enjoyed having the energetic DJ at our wedding. I kept his contact info. He was so good that I used him again several years later when I was planning a formal, Christmas party for a company I was working for.
