Our daughters wedding reception at the John Marshall Ballrooms couldn't have been more perfect. The setting is beautiful and guests raved about the food prepared by their caterer. A lot of the extras other venues normally charge for are included in their price, eliminating the need to coordinate with a multitude of vendors. Staff were great to work with as well.

I had my wedding here on 10.31.2025, and it was absolutely incredible. The venue itself is gorgeous, and the food was delicious. But most importantly, Kaitlyn and Maria were fantastic to work with. I am very much a type B personality, so planning a wedding was way out of my comfort zone, but they both were so helpful and were always prompt to answer my millions of random questions. I couldn’t be happier with the way things turned out, it was truly my dream wedding!

I have worked weddings to having my own wedding at John Marshall Ballrooms and I can’t recommend this place enough. There aren’t many venue options that can comfortably hold around 150 guests, in addition to in-house catering with tables, chairs, linens etc in downtown Richmond. JMB was the perfect venue. We loved the historic hotel vibes. Majority of our guests came from out of town and it was very close to all hotels. Maria is absolutely amazing and their staff is always friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend having your next event at JMB. You won’t regret it!
