We had a wonderful meal for a friends 40th birthday at the Sky Room this week. Our server David was phenomenal! The atmosphere of the private room we were in surpassed our parties expectations. I had the special of short ribs which were perfectly cooked. The honey nut risotto was delicious, the flat iron steak was another favorite. From the wine to the cocktails it was a delight. I would definitely come back again on another trip to Long Beach.

The Sky Room is one of those dining experiences that feels truly special and memorable. The ambiance alone is breathtaking — perched high above Long Beach with panoramic views of the beach, port, and even the Queen Mary, it creates the perfect backdrop for a romantic dinner or a night to remember. Watching the sunset transition into the sparkling city lights was absolutely stunning.

The food was outstanding. From the appetizers to the mains, everything was well-prepared and beautifully presented. The Beef Wellington in particular was a standout — perfectly cooked, tender, and rich in flavor. The sides complemented the dish well and rounded out the meal wonderfully.

The service was impeccable. Attentive, friendly, and professional, the staff made us feel welcomed and cared for without ever being intrusive. It’s clear that they put thought into the guest experience, and it elevated the evening.

If I had to give one small piece of constructive feedback, it would be that with such a memorable setting and high-quality dishes, it would be fantastic to see the cocktail menu feature a few more unique, signature creations that match the elevated vibe of the restaurant. The drinks were good, but the space deserves cocktails that are as unforgettable as the view and the food.

Overall, The Sky Room is a must-visit in Long Beach. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply want an evening to remember, this place delivers with incredible views, excellent food, and service that makes you feel valued. Highly recommend!

My girlfriend recommended this restaurant a while back and we’d been trying (and failing) to snag a reservation ever since. Finally made it Friday night shout out to my bf for scoring an earlier dinner time because it all worked out perfectly.

The restaurant is tucked inside the newly renovated Fairmont Breakers Hotel and wow, they nailed the vibe. Think vintage glamour meets modern sophistication. The hostess was super sweet and sat us at a window table with panoramic views of the harbor and city, major date night energy!

Our server Jessica was a star. Friendly, knowledgeable, and she had the best menu recs that made our night. Service overall was seamless, everyone worked as a team, so we never had to flag anyone down. Attentive without hovering, which is rare!

    Drinks:
I started with an Old Fashioned made with Japanese whiskey (Jessica even offered to smoke it loved the extra flair). My bf went with the Smoke ‘n Mirrors super smoky, strong, and perfect for sipping. Later, I switched to white wine to pair with my meal.

    Food highlights:
Parker House Rolls & Cultured Butter – Two warm little rolls to kick things off. Simple but perfect.
Oysters with Green Tomato Mignonette – Briny, fresh, and that tangy mignonette was spot-on.
Marinated Local Tomatoes – Jessica’s pick and she was right. The stracciatella cheese (aka the gooey inside of burrata) with tomatoes was so refreshing, totally converted us into stracciatella fans.
Alaskan Halibut – Almond crust gave it a delicate crunch, the Weiser potatoes & sorrel cream tied it all together. I legit cleaned my plate.
Liberty Farms Duck Breast – My bf’s pick. Cooked perfectly pink with a flavorful sauce. He was impressed.
Grilled Romano Beans – The one miss for me. The olive tapenade & oven-dried tomatoes just didn’t hit. Would skip next time.
Peach Flambe– Done table-side with all the drama. Fun presentation, tasty dessert. Next time I’m going for the banana flambe.

By the end, we both agreed that Sky Room absolutely impressed us from start to finish! From the setting to the service to the food, everything just flowed. Can’t wait to come back. Big thanks to Jessica and the whole crew for such a memorable night!
