I’ve photographed a few weddings at the Society Room this year and loved every moment of it. Easily one of the best prep rooms in the state, it’s bright and so large! The proximity to additional portrait spot like Hartford City Hall, Elizabeth Park, The Bushnell Park Carousel makes this one of my favorites!

As a Connecticut wedding photographer, The Society Room of Hartford may be my favorite venue yet. The dark, moody, Gatsby-like elegance of this wedding venue is just awesome. It's absolutely stunning here! On top of that, Paula and the staff are wonderful and very accommodating.
The parking garages and lots on Pratt and Asylum make things convenient for guests and vendors alike (but watch out for validation; best to ask The Society Room which lot they're supporting before you attend an event).
Bonus tip: Planning your wedding here? Make sure that your wedding photographer knows how to use light properly!

We had our ceremony and wedding reception back in March and highly recommend this venue. Not only is it breathtakingly beautiful, but was so easy to work with. Our guests raved about the food, service and everyone had an amazing night. We had great communication with our day of coordinator and in the meetings and emails leading up to our wedding. Our day of attendant was also so kind and considerate, making sure my husband and I were eating and always had a drink in hand. We wish we could relive this day, thank you to the team at The Society Room for an amazing day! If you’re considering, book!
