This is OKC's hidden treasure as far as hotels are concerned for me! I'm pretty picky about hotels. I want one with character but also very clean with modern updates. The Fordson checked every box and some I didn't know i had! The little Ford details were so appreciated and the art was beautiful.

The Fordson somehow found the perfect balance of unique cool without being pretentious or so zany that no one really fits in. The only thing I didn't like is that next time I stay overnight in OKC I won't get to try out a new hotel because I'll be coming back here!

Oh and for those that HATE cilantro, I'd appreciate another shampoo option. But the rum body soap? We agreed we could use that everyday forever!!

What a neat place. Anything historic is always more interesting of course, but this place is truly a unique hotel experience being that it wasn't intended for anything like this. The attached restaurant as well as the breakfast spot is so good! The coffee in the room shocked me too, Nespresso pods, which i also really enjoy. The is a pricey place for me, but a great experience for a little getaway. Being downtown, it's close to a lot of places as well. It made for a great weekend.

We wanted to like this hotel, but despite the stylish design and unique concept, it falls short in basic comfort and function.

The room layout is visually interesting—center bathroom wrapped in wood paneling dividing the bedroom and living space—and the room itself was very large. The bathroom was excellent: clean, good water pressure, and plenty of space. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended.

We arrived after dark and discovered the room lighting is extremely poor. There is a master switch that doesnt turn the lights on untill have done it manually and then you can turn them on and off. When you enter, your forced to wander around in the dark searching for lamps—an awful first impression. To make matters worse, the largest lamp was plugged into a dead outlet, so it didn’t work at all until a porter came up and helped diagnose the electrical issue.

The hotel advertises complimentary water and an in-room coffee maker, but neither were visible anywhere. We opened every cabinet and even checked for hidden wall panels, thinking maybe they were concealed as part of the décor. Nothing. When we asked staff, we were given a dismissive response along the lines of, “No one else has a problem finding it,” which didn’t address the issue or offer a solution. Design seemed to matter more to the staff than actual hospitality or guest comfort.

Cleanliness was also questionable. The ottoman in the room was filthy—covered in old stains and dirty shoe prints that clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a long time (see photo). For a hotel that markets itself on style, upkeep shouldn’t be neglected.

The property’s history as a former Ford repair shop is interesting, but my wife swore parts of the hotel still smelled faintly of oil. And the large bowl of complimentary wood matches at the front desk felt like a strange and potentially unsafe touch.

Overall, this hotel tries hard to be cool and different, and it succeeds visually, but it sacrifices too much in practicality. Lighting, functionality, service attitude, and room cleanliness need serious improvement. We value design, but comfort and hospitality still matter—and on that front, this hotel missed the mark for us. We won’t be returning.
