The Plaza is clean, beautifully landscaped, with huge trees, and very relaxing especially during early morning and afternoon. Statues dedicated to prominent personalities who were born in Villa Arevalo are erected in their honor; and as always in every town plaza in Iloilo, a monument for Jose Rizal!

It's really one of my favorite place to run to just to relax. That's after having lunch or dinner at Baybay area. I like their courtyard and church ~ it's quite peaceful. It's nice to take a walk here, buy siomai, and simply lounge around.

This beautiful plaza contains a pillar which I think dates back from the Spanish colonial era, bust of Sofia Reyes de Veyra, and Chief Justice Avancena, and newly renovated Jose Rizal statue. There are also beautiful potted ornamental plants beside the plaza.
