Meet the Team Behind Violet L.A.

  • Dana Slatkin, Founder: A Los Angeles native and graduate of UC Berkeley and The Culinary Institute of America, Dana brings decades of culinary expertise and passion to Violet. With experience working at Michelin-starred restaurants in France and launching successful ventures like the Beverly Hills Farmers Market, Dana’s vision is to create a community-centered haven where food and connection flourish.
  • Brian Rigsby, Head Chef: With a background working at Jon & Vinny’s, Animal, and Craft L.A., Brian blends French techniques with L.A.’s farmers market bounty to craft unforgettable dishes.
  • Jamie Alexander, General Manager: A Michigan native with a deep appreciation for seasonality and community, Jamie oversees the Bistro, Cooking School, and Shop, ensuring every guest feels at home.
  • Jesse Brune-Horan, Director of School Operations: Le Cordon Bleu graduate and television personality, Jesse brings his culinary expertise and passion for teaching to Violet Cooking School, creating enriching and joyful experiences for all.
  • Holly Delormeau, Assistant General Manager: Holly’s dedication to hospitality shines through in her warm, welcoming approach and meticulous coordination of private events.
