The modernization of the guided museum tour. AR equipment for hire which provides a visual explanation of some relics. Chinese only so as an improvement they could add English or other languages. The relics are thousands of years old and the exhibition halls are not too big so If you have younger children this Xian museum should be more then enough. Children would enjoy playing with the AR and practice saying Chinese numbers to controls the exhibit visual.

Opened on May 8, 2007, the Xi'an Museum (西安博物院 – Xī'ān Bówùyuàn) is one of the most modern and largest historical museums in China. Its collection of 130,000 artifacts mainly covers the Zhou, Qin, Han, and Tang periods. Almost all of the artifacts come from Shaanxi province, and for those who don't have time to visit the large tomb complexes of the Han and Tang emperors, a visit here will give you an idea of the fantastic burial finds. Highly recommended!

Visited Xi'an Museum in January 2026. The museum is filled with ancient artifacts, ranging from pottery, bronze collections, gold amulet, ceramic and much more. The highlight of the museum is at the basement where you can find permanent display of pieces of history of Xi'an. This museum aren't that packed with visitors unlike other attractions in Xi'an
