Baluarte Safari resort in Vigan Ilocos Sur is a must place to visit. Its just 6 to 7 hrs from manila and 5 hrs from Baguio City. The Place showcases a lot of exotic live and preserved animals of all kinds that you can only find in Africa and other countries in the world. The entrance fee is pretty cheap less than 20 USD but you will be rewarded with getting close to the animals that you can only see on tv or youtube videos. Moreover, Baluarte is only 11 minutes ride from the historic city of Vigan city which is also a plus. You dont even need a car to get to the place because of the abundance of tricycles around the city to get where you want to be. We came from Baguio city on a ́Partas bus and stayed on Hotel Mercante in downtown Vigan. We toured the historic city. From downtown Vigan city, we rode a tricycle to Baluarte Zafari which is just 11 minutes away. You can find more videos that I took on my youtube channel VIDEOVISTAVIEW

I stopped by this place just to see what it was about and I ended up having a truly wonderful time. However bring some water because it is incredibly hot and there's not necessarily a lot of shade while you're walking around. With that being said there is a lot of animals and my favorite part is where I could feed the camels and pet them. There is a large gallery area that has a lot of animal trophies for you to view with some information about the animals. At the end there's also some small history about mining and smelting that occurred in the area, if you have the time I would definitely stop by. But it is a little out of the way. I'd also like to add that on the outside of this place there's lots of wonderful vendors that sell lots of great food and souvenirs very cheaply.

3 choices for the entrance fee. I recommend package B to enjoy the tour. Parking space is free. We had fun interaction with the deer wild animals while feeding them. P50 for every photo ops with snake, parrot, etc. Safari Gallery is very nice to see. For package B you will stop in 4 stations. While waiting at the shuttle, immediately register your number to put you in queue. Waiting time for the shuttle is not taking so long dont worry. Souvenir shop available anywhere.
