We hosted our Halloween-themed wedding on 31/10/2025 at Harlow Rugby Club for our reception, and it truly exceeded our expectations. We are incredibly grateful to Hayley and her wonderful team for all their support.
Throughout the planning process, we appreciated the clear and friendly communication. Everything, from the paperwork to the pricing details, was explained thoroughly, which made us feel confident and comfortable to ask any questions. The tables and seating arrangements were easily customisable with a variety of options to suit our preferences.
The facilities at the Rugby Club were excellent. The main hall was spacious, comfortably accommodating around 60 guests with plenty of room to spare. The service they provided, including a well-prepared buffet, was greatly enjoyed by everyone. The food selection was fantastic, featuring a delicious roast and lovely desserts.
When we suggested having a Halloween-themed wedding, Hayley was immediately enthusiastic and assured us that our ideas could be brought to life. This was a first for the venue, and they did a fantastic job with decorations and themed drinks, creating a lively, fun atmosphere that everyone loved. They even provided a separate room for our games and activities, which the staff kindly allowed us to use.
On the day itself, we were greeted with drinks upon arrival. While the guests mingled indoors, we had a few moments outside to prepare for our entrance. The DJ, Lloyd, was brilliant—welcoming us warmly and discussing our plan. He really got the crowd going, and our grand entrance was a real highlight, with everyone up and dancing. Later in the evening, he even wore a mask to add a fun touch to the Halloween theme, which we really appreciated. A helpful note for future couples: please remember that the playlist needs to be pre-downloaded, as the DJ doesn’t use Spotify, so requests might not be possible during the event. He had an excellent selection already prepared, though!
Thanks to Hayley's flexibility and professionalism, we felt very special on our wedding day. Her support made everything run smoothly, and we’re so thankful for all their efforts.
Our package included the venue, starters and main course buffet, desserts, and the in-house DJ, all for around £4,500. Considering everything, we felt it was very good value for money.
We also want to extend our thanks to the staff who stayed behind after the event to help with clean-up—they were very considerate and kind.
Overall, we wholeheartedly recommend hosting your wedding at Harlow Rugby Club. Planning well in advance will give you the best chance to bring your vision to life.
