Visited today and was welcomed by friendly museum staff. There was no wait and the entry was free, there is also a little gift shop to visit with a variety of items on sale; mini posters, pins, pencils and also cards.

Inside the displays were very informative with Roman pieces, Harlow history, old technology and more. There’s also a little library onsite. We visited the gardens last and will definitely be back to enjoy the peace and beauty.

Harlow Walled Gardens is always putting on fun activities and events for the local community. Their gardens are well maintained all year and their museum has interesting aspects of the history of Harlow. It's a lovely place! We have reviewed it a few times on our local blog, Life with Jupiter and Dann.

Visited the museum on a quiet Tuesday and was well worth a visit, despite the poor weather. The staff were friendly and engaging and the exhibits were well displayed. Plenty of timeline history from bronze/iron age up to modern times with some interesting facts about some things that originated in the locality. All seemed accessible and the toilets were clean too. The walled gardens are a must and would have liked to see them in better weather and would visit again, especially on an event day. It looks like they must have a strong group of volunteers to keep the gardens looking so well. Some very unusual species. Use satnav to get here as the amount of roundabouts in Harlow is baffling and disorientating. Excellent museum.
