A ₱100,000 budget for a 120-guest wedding in Tagaytay works only if it covers the venue and little else. Spread across 120 guests it is ₱833 a head. The mid-market all-in price we found for the same headcount ran ₱180,000 to ₱260,000. Here is what that gap looks like on a real request, and the one move that opened up the calendar.

The request: Friday, Dec. 18, 2026, 120 guests, ₱100,000

A planner in the Philippines asked us about a Friday wedding in Tagaytay. She had picked one venue from our site, Balay Dako Private Dining & Events, and she had picked Friday on purpose. Friday costs less than Saturday. Good instinct.

The numbers on her form:

  • Guests: 120
  • Date: Friday, Dec. 18, 2026
  • Budget: ₱100,000
  • Per head: ₱833

She also asked about a Balay Dako branch in Antipolo. We checked before answering. The venue replied that the Antipolo location is not operating and is not taking event bookings. We told her that plainly and did not guess.

The venue said no to the date. Then it offered three more.

We emailed Balay Dako on July 2. The reply came back within a day with a clear answer: Dec. 18 was already taken by a confirmed event. It also listed the December dates still open, and it attached a rate sheet.

The open dates were Wednesday, Dec. 2, Monday, Dec. 14, and Tuesday, Dec. 15.

That reply is worth studying. It was fast, it was specific, and it kept a lost booking alive. Their Silong space is about 300 square meters and fits 90 to 150 guests, so 120 fits comfortably. A plain “sorry, booked” would have ended the conversation. A list of open dates left the planner a real choice.

We gave her two paths:

  1. Move the wedding to Dec. 14 or 15. She keeps the venue she picked. Weekday dates also tend to price lower, though we did not receive a weekday-versus-Friday price comparison from the venue.
  2. Keep Dec. 18 and move venues. We would source Tagaytay and Silang alternatives in her range.

As of our last tracker update on July 15, she had not picked. We do not know how it ended, and we are not going to pretend we do.

What ₱100,000 buys in Tagaytay and Antipolo

This is the part most budget guides skip. We priced the market for 120 guests in July 2026 from published rates. These figures come from venue websites and our own listings, so confirm them before you plan around them.

Venue typeWhat we foundWhat it means
Venue-only garden or hall₱20,000 to ₱75,000Leaves ₱25,000 to ₱80,000 for everything else
Mid-market, all-in₱180,000 to ₱260,000₱1,500 to ₱2,170 per head
Premium hotel or resort hall₱150,000 venue-only and up, ₱298,000 and up all-inOut of range at ₱100,000

Some of the individual rates behind that range:

  • A garden venue in Tagaytay: about ₱28,000 for venue-only. This was the best Tagaytay value we found.
  • A farm venue in Indang: about ₱20,000 for the venue.
  • A hillside venue in Tagaytay: about ₱65,000.
  • An art museum in Antipolo: about ₱50,000 for a day rate, outdoor space only.
  • A garden estate in Antipolo: about ₱190,000 all-in for 120 guests, roughly double the budget.

So ₱100,000 all-in for 120 guests did not exist in either region. The realistic play is a ₱20,000 to ₱75,000 venue rental with outside catering. That is the version of the plan we proposed. It only works if catering comes in under about ₱600 a head after the rental.

Four listings that fit the math

These are live on VenueKonnex with photos. Rates on listings are averages, so request a quote for your date.

  • Balay Dako Private Dining & Events, Tagaytay. Up to 120 guests, ridge views, on-site catering. The listing shows an average price of ₱2,500, so if that is per guest, a full 120-guest event lands near ₱300,000. Ask whether a venue-only rate exists.
  • Garden and Events @ The Veranda, Tagaytay. Up to 150 guests, 2,000 square feet of outdoor space, rated 4.9 from 15 Google reviews. The listing starts at ₱5,000. The venue-only wedding rate we found was ₱28,000.
  • Pinto Art Museum Gardens & Pavilion Spaces, Antipolo. Up to 120 guests. The listing shows an average of ₱150,000 for typical events, while the day rate we found was about ₱50,000. Two numbers for one venue means you must ask which space and which hours each covers.
  • Antipolo Sky Lounge. Up to 100 guests, panoramic views, average ₱14,000. It is 20 seats short for this headcount, but it works if the guest list shrinks.

Five moves that stretch a small budget

  1. Ask for open dates, not one date. Venues that say “booked” will often name the dates they still have. Ask in the first email.
  2. Price the venue separately from the food. Venue-only plus outside catering is the cheapest structure we saw. Confirm the venue allows outside caterers.
  3. Choose a weekday or a Friday. The Dec. 14 and 15 dates were a Monday and a Tuesday. A weekday wedding trades convenience for price.
  4. Cut the list before you cut the venue. At 90 guests, ₱100,000 is ₱1,111 a head. That moves you into a different tier.
  5. Write down what the quote includes. Tables, chairs, sound, power, and parking are where “cheap” venues add costs.

The silent-venue lesson

On July 3 we emailed three Antipolo venues for this request. Eleven days later, even after a catch-up email on July 14, none had answered. Meanwhile the Tagaytay venue that said no answered with three usable dates. In event planning, the venue that tells you “no, but here is what I have” is the one you can build a plan around.

If you own a venue, that is the habit to copy. Publish your open dates, answer fast, and name alternatives. If you are the planner, send the same brief to many venues and read the replies for specifics, not enthusiasm.

FAQ

How much does a wedding venue cost in Tagaytay for 120 guests?
Venue-only rentals we found ran about ₱20,000 to ₱75,000. All-in packages ran about ₱180,000 to ₱260,000 for the mid-market, and premium hotel halls started higher.

Is ₱100,000 enough for a 120-guest wedding?
Only for the venue and a lean menu. At ₱833 a head you need a low-cost venue rental and outside catering under roughly ₱600 a head.

Are Friday and weekday weddings cheaper?
Usually, since demand is lower, but get it in writing. We did not receive a side-by-side weekday price from this venue.

What should I ask a venue that says the date is booked?
Ask which nearby dates are open, whether the rate changes by day of week, and whether the quote is venue-only or all-in.
