  • 5.0/5:

I visited from out of the city. Staff were very helpful and informative. I felt safe and comfortable in the library spaces. Facilities were good, including provision of drinking fountains. The selection of books was reasonable (not very academic, but I suppose that academic books are mainly at the university libraries).

  • 5.0/5:

The space was spacious and offered a variety of activities, chess, video games, movies, and of course, a quiet environment for reading or studying. I had hoped to find some books by Bernard Werber, but unfortunately, none were available at the time.

Klaudia at the front desk was especially helpful. She was attentive and kind, taking the time to explain everything about the library card and the lending policies clearly and patiently.

There were security guards on every floor, actively doing their jobs to keep the public safe, which was reassuring. However, the area outside the library felt somewhat concerning, it wasn’t very clean, and the general atmosphere didn’t feel entirely safe. I noticed several groups of police officers patrolling the area, and honestly, I’m not sure how comfortable it would have felt without their presence.

The London room is a very important holder of local history and genealogy.
