- 5.0/5:
La Luz Beach Resort in Batangas offers a serene, rustic getaway along Tayabas Bay, set on soft cream‑sand shores with calming sea views. The resort’s charm lies in its native, bamboo-accented buildings, open-air pavilions, and relaxed atmosphere. Guests enjoy included buffet meals, kayaking, snorkeling, bonfires, and even guided hikes. While the infinity pool and beachfront are highlights, some reviews point to dated rooms, slow service, and maintenance issues like water pressure or outdated showers. Friendly staff and natural beauty help make up for imperfections, but it may not feel very luxurious.

Going there from Manila is tedious, 3 &1/2 to 4 hours drive depending on traffic. I like the privacy of the resort. The cabanas are nice, giving the resort a classy and relaxing vibe. The service is good specially in their restaurant. The food is pricey for the amount of servings. Taste is ok but there are dishes they can improve on. Also the lofts can have a little makeover to make it updated, specifically repairs or change of door knobs. There are enough beach activities but the beach is rocky, however they kept it clean all the time. There are enough staff around to help out the guests

Booked overnight accomodation last Sept 6to7 for 7pax premier loft (Mulawin B).
Room is outdated. Renovation is highly recommended. The beds were not comfortable. I like that the toilet is separate from the bath. For the price paid for the room not worth it.
But the place! Still love it. I love swimming in the beach. Sand is fine with pebbles (but not as fine as Bora) water is clear. The addition of swimming pool is a plus .
Food is delicious kinda pricey but serving is for sharing. Included Breakfast could improve. Hope they would return the buffet setup.
Service is nice. Thanks to rose ann (and to others answering their FB messenger) very patient in answering my inquiries.
