MacArthur Park is one of my favourite places in Kamloops. I come here often for walks or runs, and part of the trail goes right along the river, which makes it peaceful and really beautiful. There’s lots of parking, and the area has soccer fields, baseball diamonds, and the hockey arena. There are also sports and community events happening here sometimes, which brings a lively vibe. I love the nature around the park, you can even spot deer occasionally, and in the fall you can hear geese and migratory birds. It’s just a great place to relax, exercise, and enjoy the outdoors.

It's an island not a park. The design of the park is good. There are a few big sport fields around the road.
If you are a visitor, you may drive a little half round of this island. There are many parking and washroom along the road.
We go there in the late evening so we didn't see any wild life.
If you have time, I think there are a good trail goes around the whole island. I see people using bikes to stroll around. It may take some time for a round stroll.

All parks should be 5 ⭐️ especially this one. Absolutely beautiful park on an island on the Thompson River. Great paved trail that completely circles the entire park. It’s about 3 km. There is lots of parking available and public washrooms also. Lots of green spaces. Lots of benches but no picnic tables. The park supports multiple sports ⚽️ ⚾️🏒🏏🛹🚴‍♂️🥏 also mini golf. Lots of wildlife 🦆🪿🦉🦇🐿️
