After five months of chemotherapy and not being able to book tickets for anything, a chance spare ticket came my way for Hound of the Baskervilles. It was better than any medicine! I have not laughed for so long in a long time. Brilliant performances, timing and script. A real tonic. Well done everyone.

The productions here are always first rate.
On 27th December we took 5 of our grandchildren ranging in age from 15 to 5 and their parents, 11 in all, to see 'The Little Mermaid'. They were all entranced. The way that the stage designers created the underwater environment on stage was phenomenal and the sight of the mermaids 'swimming' while using the silken fabric hanging from the ceiling while carrying out amazing acrobatic manoeuvres was breathtaking. The fact that the production could hold the attention of such a big age-range speaks volumes for the team. It wasn't a traditional pantomime but a timeless, beautiful, fast-paced and absorbing spectacle.

We had a very nice lunch beforehand too. The lunchtime menu is varied and has something for everyone. Service is very quick.

A brilliant theatre in the round, we have seen some amazing productions over the years. The little mermaid was wonderful, really imaginatively staged and costumed and transported us to another world. Lovely welcoming staff who I believe are volunteers, the friendliest people you will meet!
