Troy Farmers Market is truly one of the best local markets in the Capital Region! As Alaturco Gyro Restaurant, we feel honored to be a part of this vibrant community. The energy, the people, the support for small businesses , everything is just incredible. We love sharing our homemade Mediterranean flavors with the amazing crowd every week. Thank you for creating such a welcoming and well-organized space for vendors and visitors alike!

An absolute experience every time, feels like something out of Brooklyn or DC on a weekend. Great vendors, local farms and artists represented, plenty of people watching, extremely dog friendly, walkable, vendors spread throughout the many streets and alleyways downtown, with the park that overlooks the Hudson River just beckoning you to have a little impromptu picnic with all the things you bought. I literally spend the day here meandering through the market and adjacent shops/small businesses. Much better places to spend your money than the big box, bland and boring grocery store chains in the area. I’ve found the best items here from food to flowers to books and art/decor. There’s usually $1/minute chair massage also (hello self care!), readings and other entertainment or exhibits to see. Open year round- moves inside on Third Street during colder months. BY FAR- the top of the farmers markets in the area.

I’m from downstate and I had a such a good time on a cold spring day with friends x I honestly got lost they had specialty good the pesto bread guy was great. You can definitely get some organic food here and specialty goods! I learned a lot at the cornel cooperative extension short form workshops and then got some gifts from Cole Kamp and they were super accommodating in suggesting the adjustable jewelry. Also wow the hot cider here was so good I missed having some . The lavenders also keep me sane my whole almost 17 hours journey back home (long story), super fresh and grounding , got it from the florist there! Definitely go on a budget 😶‍🌫️
