What a fantastic venue – Unity Hall is a real asset to Wakefield! I hadn’t been in years and I’m so glad I went back. We went as a family to the Queen tribute night and every single one of us had an absolute blast. Thoroughly recommended – who’s on next?!

Our amazing wedding at unity hall

We got married at unity hall in march and the venue was just perfect for what we wanted. Here are some of the reasons we loved it so much:

    – The venue is really affordable compared to other wedding venues in wakefield. It was a set price for the room and any extras were optional. There were no additional costs for getting married on a weekend which a lot of the venues can charge extra for.

    – The venue can fit a lot of people, we had 130 guests and there was extra room. There was no limit on the amount of guests unlike other venues.

    – Shellie went out of her way to make sure our day was perfect, she put so much effort into helping set up the room and making sure everything ran smoothly. Shellie was really knowledgeable, she recommended a DJ, light tech, caterer and wedding hire company, we chose to use them but she was not pushy about using them and you could definitely use your own. We were able to request preferred drinks for behind the bar through shellie and she allowed us to use the kitchen to set up the cakes etc. Shellie also helped us with hiring a lovely wedding car as she works with a local car garage. She was just amazing.

    – Everything was in one room, we loved that the room was able to host our ceremony, meal and evening do, it meant everyone was together for the whole day and no moving between places.

-The room is fully customisable. You can do as much or as little as you want. There is a service entrance and a lift for bringing everything in so we were able to really go to town with decorating the room. Shellie gave us access for the full day before so we could set up. (The lift was also great for guests who needed this on the day)

    – There is a huge stage for live music. We had a band in the evening and as the venue is set up for music the band were able to set up and preform on stage. The sound was amazing and the guests had a great time because of this.

-The location is perfect, lots of parking, a 4 minute walk to the train station and several hotels nearby.

If you're considering unity hall for your wedding or event then we would definitely recommend it!!
