Beautiful hotel, sympathetically decorated to be both contemporary whilst in keeping with the building and area. Quality food including an amazing starter of goats cheese parfait with cashew crumb and beetroot. Fish and chips were excellent too. Cocktails seemed a bit sweet – a bramble was too sweet whilst a Cosmo was too sharp with lime. Room was huge and perfectly appointed and decorated. Gardens are lovely and immaculately kept. Ghost room was a nice touch. Service in restaurant was a bit slow as it was staffed mainly by 16 year olds who seemed to only be able to bring food out and not take orders. Overall would thoroughly recommend this outstanding hotel.

The perfect place for an atmospheric getaway during a wind-whipped weekend in January. We enjoyed excellent service and fantastic food.

The rooms in the tower are a tad chilly at this time of year, but by evening it was toasty. The toilet door is frosted glass which may disconcert some. Given the age of the tower, the modernisation works well and is worth the minor inconvenience. All in all, a good blend of old and new in a quieter part of the north coast.

We are just home after a wonderful stay at Ballygally Castle Hotel. A big thank you to Scott in his absence, and his team for the fantastic welcome and it was a lovely surprise to be upgraded. Beautiful food and entertainment. Breakfast was very busy and the staff were under pressure but coped admirably. We will be back for sure.
