Great place to relax and hang out in downtown Nanaimo. The park is large with great views and atmosphere. It can get noisy at times due propeller aircraft noise, as the Nanaimo habour serves as an airport for seaplanes. There are a lot of unique statues and a large playground.

If you’re looking for the big “NANAIMO” sign, this is the spot. Inner‑city waterfront park with ample parking, lots of shaded picnic areas, a kids’ playground, small beach access, and plenty of walking/running trails. It’s about a 10‑minute drive from the Departure Bay ferry terminal, so it’s an easy stop before or after your sailing. I love coming here for a quick loop, a photo at the sign, and a breather by the water.

Beautiful waterfront park that’s perfect for a walk or just relaxing by the water. There are nice paths, open spaces, and great views all around. It’s family friendly with areas for kids to play and plenty of spots to sit and enjoy the scenery. A really nice place to unwind if you’re in Nanaimo
