Please visit this place even if you only have a couple of hours in Ottawa — it’s truly a gem. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable, and I couldn’t believe the one-hour in-person guided tour was only $5. This is honestly one of the best museums I’ve visited. I learned a lot here.

The Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau is a very nice place to visit. The museum is beautiful and has many amazing paintings and artworks. The exhibits are interesting and easy to explore. It’s a great place to learn about history and enjoy beautiful art. Highly recommended.

As expected, fantastic museum with great exhibits. Spent 3-4 hours on a cold morning. Children area is a lot of fun for younger kids, 5-8 years old.
Underground parking is about 6' 3" so access with larger vehicles is very difficult.
